We are two! It’s been quite the year for us at Pellicle. At its start there was uncertainty of whether or not our little publication would make it to the other side of the pandemic, but in actual fact it ended with our best traffic to date, a still-growing audience, and being in a financial position where we’re able to put two freelance associate editors on retainer. Woof.

Our big birthday news is that two of our most regular contributors, Katie Mather and Lily Waite, have joined our team in the aforementioned editorial capacity. In the coming weeks we’ll be elaborating on how their newly created roles will be taking the magazine forward once we’ve got down to the business of planning our next steps. In the meantime we wanted to celebrate the fact that we’ve entered our third year with a bit of a party. And as it’s still not quite the time to do this in person, we thought there would be no better way of doing so than a good, old fashioned livestream.

Next Wednesday May 19th please join us on our newly created Youtube Channel from 8 until 10pm where Pellicle’s founders Matthew Curtis and Jonny Hamilton will be joined by Katie, Lily and Hop Burns & Black founders Jen Ferguson and Glenn Williams.

On the night we’ll be drinking through a six pack of delicious beverages (details on how to secure one of those below) underpinning a conversation that will mostly centre around the magazine, what we’ve loved so far, and where we want to take it next.
